3 takeaways from 'The future of event tech' at Events Uncovered

Events Uncovered saw over 400 Event Planners come together at the Sydney Masonic Centre for a day of learning, networking and discovery of the hottest trends in theming, venues, catering and audio visual.

Chris Schlueter, Director of Business and Innovation at Sprintr joined Joe Ciliberto, Global Sales & Marketing Director, EventsAir and Michelle Schuberg, CEO, Curiious to discuss ‘The future of event tech’ at Spice’s Knowledge Sessions.

Here are our key takeaways from the panel discussion.

1. Design for digital

Can you run an in-person event, live-stream it for your online audience, call it a hybrid event and your job is done?

Yes. But your online attendee experience will suffer, plus you will miss out on a valuable opportunity to innovate, to add value for your digital audience, and to engage them in new and exciting ways.

You need to start considering the online experience from the get-go. It might sound like more work (and yes, it will be), but for organisations that are ready to step-up to the next level, this is where you need to be heading.

2. Time is of the essence

We’re all short on it. It can seem like a monumental task to find the right technology for your event.

Involving Sprintr earlier in the event planning process will help alleviate your time pressure woes, while helping you get the most out of your technology solution.

Don’t waste your valuable time sifting through the plethora of technology solutions out there, listening to sales pitches and trying to decipher which is the best one for you. That’s Sprintr’s job.

We’ve spent endless hours of research, building an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the event technology market. Our values lies in our expertise, while implementing and managing your technology solutions so you don’t have to.

3. Technology doesn’t have to be scary

“Fear of the unknown is the greatest fear of all.” – Yvon Chouinard

The metaverse is looming. QR code scanning is exploding. AR and VR are hot topics. Consider the UI and UX at all points in the customer journey. Just remembering what the acronyms mean is becoming a headache. We get it.

Don’t shy away from technology or feel as though you need to understand it to put on a successful smart, hybrid or virtual event.

There are organisations out there who are ready to help you work through your needs. That’s what we’re all about at Sprintr. We’re here to support you through the process as a trusted partner.
